Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Gas Chromatography (GC) using advanced techniques and instruments to analyze samples and determine the composition of various substances.
  • Perform calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of GC instruments to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
  • Develop and validate analytical methods using GC to meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
  • Analyze samples to identify peaks and quantify compounds, and interpret chromatograms to provide accurate and timely results.
  • Interpret and report results accurately, maintaining detailed records of all analysis performed, including raw data.
  • Complete laboratory reports as applicable, and provide training to laboratory analysts on standard methods and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality control procedures, and regulatory guidelines to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with laboratory safety, reporting techniques, and analysis methods to ensure the highest level of expertise.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or degree in Science or Chemistry or a related field.
  • Equivalent work experience in the OGC industry.
  • Understanding of ASTM standards and procedures.
  • Protocol, procedure, and safety-oriented individual with the ability to perform analytical tasks.
  • Ability to differentiate colors accurately by sight.
  • High tolerance for job pressure and ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to verify and check results during and after office hours, based on customers' requirements.
  • Dependable and reliable individual with excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse personalities and backgrounds.
