The Perse School (Singapore) is a leading international school that prides itself on providing a nurturing environment for students to grow and develop. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced healthcare professional to join our dynamic team as a School Nurse.


Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality healthcare services to students, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being while at school. This will involve managing and promoting health education, addressing medical needs, and responding to health emergencies.


Responsibilities:
  • Medical Support: Provide medical support for the entire school community.
  • Medical Supplies: Maintain and replenish medical supplies, including first aid kits, according to standard requirements.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all medical equipment in the school wellness centre is functioning properly.
  • Examinations: Conduct examinations of unwell students or staff members who require immediate medical attention.
  • Care Administration: Administer care according to established medical standards and protocols.
  • Communication: Inform parents and school administrators about students' conditions and updates on their health status.
  • Emergency Response: Coordinate the transfer of students or staff to the nearest hospital's Emergency Ward, following standard procedures, and ensure parents are notified to meet at the hospital.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of each medical case attended to.
  • Infection Control: Identify students who fall ill frequently or have infectious diseases, and report findings to the school administration for further action.

Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Registered Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a registered nurse; pediatric or child health experience preferred.
  • Preferred Experience: Experience working in an international school is preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
