Fire Alarm Specialist Role and Responsibilities

The role of a Fire Alarm Specialist involves providing technical support and maintenance to fire protection systems. This includes installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of various components such as fire alarm panels, mimic panels, detectors, and fire modules.

  • Installation of fire protection and fire alarm systems
  • Conducting thorough inspections and testing of fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning correctly

Additionally, the specialist will be responsible for reviewing system breakdowns, identifying potential problems, and implementing corrective measures. Effective communication with stakeholders, including suppliers and contractors, is also an essential aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, test, and maintain fire alarm systems
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure systems are functioning correctly
  • Review system breakdowns and identify areas for improvement
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • National ITE Certificate (NITEC) in Engineering
  • Relevant work experience in the fire safety industry
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills
  • Independent and quick learner

Benefits:

This role offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including 5.5 working days per week, Monday to Friday (8:30 am - 6:00 pm), Saturday (9:00 am - 1:00 pm), and the opportunity to work on multiple sites.

Additional Information:

Preference will be given to candidates with a valid Class 3 driving license and the ability to drive a van. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and be proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and other related software.
