Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated professional to join our team as an Assistant Engineer.

The role involves the assembly, testing, and calibration of high-precision optical and mechanical components in a clean, controlled environment. This is an exciting opportunity for fresh graduates who are passionate about precision engineering, optics, and hands-on technical work.

  • Assist in the assembly of optical and mechanical components.
  • Perform alignment, bonding, and integration of optical parts using specialized tools and fixtures.
  • Design fixtures and maintain the fixture designs to aid technicians in the assembly process.
  • Support testing, inspection, and calibration of assembled units to ensure quality and performance standards.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Report assembly issues and assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical problems.
  • Collaborate with engineers to improve assembly processes and product reliability.
  • Maintain documentation for production records and quality compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Precision Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related field from a recognized Polytechnic in Singapore.
  • Keen interest in precision assembly and working with optical/mechanical components.
  • Good understanding of mechanical drawings and basic metrology tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and patience for fine manual work.
  • A proactive team player with good communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a technical environment.
