Construction Project Coordinator: A Critical Role in Ensuring Project Success
">The Construction Project Coordinator plays a vital role in overseeing site activities to ensure that construction progress aligns with project schedules and specifications. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to interpret and review construction drawings to ensure compliance with design plans and standards.
Responsibilities of the Construction Project Coordinator include monitoring workmanship and materials to meet regulatory and project quality requirements, enforcing workplace health and safety regulations, conducting site inspections to ensure compliance, and liaising with clients, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve technical and operational issues.
In addition to these responsibilities, the Construction Project Coordinator must also assist in managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effectiveness. This involves maintaining accurate site records, progress reports, and necessary documentation per ISO standards.
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a PEB recognised Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in construction project management or a similar role. They should also have a strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations, as well as proficiency in project management software such as MS Project and AutoCAD.
Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices is also essential for this role.
Key Requirements:
