Job Description:We are seeking an experienced Investment Analyst - Alternative Assets to join our team. As a key member of our FAIR team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional analytical reports to our clients. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze and recalculate fees and expenses related to private equity and other alternative investments, providing valuable insights to our Limited Partner (LP) clients regarding their expense structures.
In this position, you will be responsible for leading client engagements, reviewing FAIR reports, and conducting financial analysis. You will also have the opportunity to gain a rich understanding of the alternative investment market as you create and review reports on management fees, partnership expenses, and carried interest for various alternative investments, including private equity, real estate, private debt, and hedge funds.
- Create and review detailed reports on management fees, partnership expenses, and carried interest for alternative investments.
- E nsure consistent methodologies around data extraction, fee recalculation, and report creation are applied across all reports.
- Identify inconsistencies or large variances and collaborate with the global team and external stakeholders to resolve them.
- Perform detailed reviews of reports created by senior analysts/analytics to ensure adherence to methodology, accurate calculations, formatting, and commentary.
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to work with complex functionalities such as formulas, pivot tables, and macros. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for collaboration with a global team. Prior experience with Jira and Power BI is preferred but not required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- A minimum of 4 years of experience in fund accounting, investment management, external audit, or another private equity-adjacent role from a reputable organization.
- An excellent understanding of financial statements, including notes to financial statements, capital account statements, cash flow notices, ILPA templates, and other information regularly published by General Partners.
- A general understanding of limited partnership agreements, private equity fund structures, and associated fees.
- Meticulous attention to detail in creating and reviewing reports.
- Demonstrates ownership and self-motivation to meet KPIs and deliver quality reports.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to work with complex functionalities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Prior experience with Jira and Power BI is preferred but not required.
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
- CPA, CFA, CAIA, or other accounting/finance certification(s) are preferred.
We offer a competitive salary ranging from SGD $120,000 to SGD $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with additional benefits, including annual bonuses and comprehensive health insurance.
