About the Role

FARQUHAR VC PTE. LTD. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Investment Associate to join our team. As an Investment Associate, you will play a critical role in supporting our investment activities and contributing to the growth and success of our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investment Research and Analysis

Conduct thorough research and analysis of potential investment opportunities, including due diligence reports and investment memoranda, to provide recommendations to the Investment Committee.

  • Portfolio Management

Monitor the performance of our portfolio companies, collect timely updates, and prepare comprehensive semi-annual fund performance reports to ensure the optimal performance of our investments.

  • Financial Planning and Analysis

Assist in preparing fund decks, proposals, and other materials for capital-raising initiatives and ad hoc projects, as well as review investment documents and process related payments.

  • Operational Support

Support fund onboarding and coordination with internal and external stakeholders, including reviewing management fee calculations and distribution waterfall models, and assisting with fund operations, including annual accounts, tax reporting, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements
  • Experience and Skills

Preferably have experience in fund management operations or investments, with a strong understanding of financial markets and instruments.

  • Education and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, accountancy, or a related discipline, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Personal Qualities

Eager to learn, with the ability to work independently and multitask effectively, open-minded and highly adaptable, with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
