We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our Mathematics and Mathematics Education (MME) Department at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) as an Assistant Professor/Associate Professor in Mathematics Education.

About the Role

The successful candidate will contribute to teaching and course development at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels for mathematics education, develop a research programme, and secure competitive research grants. They will also supervise graduate and undergraduate students in mathematics education research and school practicum, teach mathematics education courses from pre-service to postgraduate level, and teach elementary mathematics content courses for undergraduate pre-service teachers.

Requirements
  • PhD in Mathematics Education from a reputable university
  • Strong record of research and publications in reputable peer-reviewed international journals
  • Strong record in university teaching in mathematics education courses for pre-service and in-service teachers
  • Strong record of leadership in research management and curriculum development
  • Past experience teaching in schools for K-12 levels
Responsibilities
  • Contribute to teaching and course development
  • Develop a research programme and secure grants
  • Supervise graduate and undergraduate students
  • Teach mathematics education courses
  • Teach elementary mathematics content courses
  • Mentoring and leadership responsibilities for Associate Professor level
