Our organization is seeking a Therapy Support Associate to play a vital role in supporting therapists before, during, and after therapy sessions.

This position requires a team player with good interpersonal and communication skills, who can contribute to a safe, effective, and efficient therapeutic environment.

  • Candidates should be able to carry out prescribed therapeutic exercises and activities as instructed by therapist.

  • They should assist therapists in assessing clients' status for suitability to start therapy sessions or to continue with therapy sessions.

  • Candidates are expected to conduct routine assessments and outcome measures for clients as prescribed by therapists.

  • They must record therapy sessions according to template sets.

  • Candidates should communicate information of therapy sessions to therapists.

  • They are required to educate clients and caregivers on therapeutic interventions as instructed by therapists.

  • Candidates should manage and conduct therapy sessions independently for straightforward cases after discussion with therapists.

  • They may be required to conduct basic or routine group therapy.

  • Candidates must ensure proper use of equipment including technological-assisted rehabilitation equipment.

Administrative and Program Related Duties

  • Candidates are expected to maintain cleanliness and safety of therapy areas.

  • They should adhere to infection control procedures and ensure volunteer's compliance to procedures.

  • Candidates are required to assist in setting up and carrying out trial of new equipment/ projects.

  • They should provide and support in the training of therapy assistants/ senior therapy assistants.

  • Candidates are expected to participate in case discussion with the clinical team using a multidisciplinary, collaborative approach.

  • They should participate in continuous professional development.

Requirements

  • Candidates should have a degree in Physiotherapy / Occupational Therapy.

  • They are expected to have at least 2 years of experiences in similar position in healthcare sector.

  • Candidates must have an interest to work with stroke survivors.

  • They should be a team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Candidates must be patient, gentle disposition with empathy and strong listening skills.
