Job Overview

The role of Vision Software Engineer is crucial in designing, developing, and maintaining software applications for vision systems. These applications are integral to the success of various industries, particularly semiconductor and automation.

To excel in this position, one must possess strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of electrical and electronic engineering principles, as well as experience with automation machine system troubleshooting.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop PC-based automated visual inspection systems for a range of semiconductor equipment.
  • Evaluate customer vision specifications and conduct feasibility studies.
  • Integrate new vision hardware onto existing software platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and improve processing times of inspections.
  • Provide technical support to internal and external customers.
  • Develop and implement vision inspection algorithms to enhance capabilities and performance.
  • Promote continuous improvement plans for new and existing inspection methods.
  • Collaborate with customers on new inquiries and work closely with team members.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical and electronic, mechanical, or mechatronics engineering.
  • Technical expertise in software development, including C#, WPF, image processing, and Halcon.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in related fields, with a focus on automation machine system troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience working with end customers and a deep understanding of semi-conductor manufacturing processes.
