Maintenance Systems Specialist

Job Opportunity: We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Systems Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of navigational and radar systems onboard surface vessels and shore facilities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, IT, or equivalent fields, with knowledge of navigational, radar, and networking systems. They will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks on equipment and systems, troubleshooting defects, and installing or removing new technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with superiors to ensure systems are always available and ready for use.
  • Perform maintenance tasks on navigational and radar systems onboard vessels, workshops, and shipyards.
  • Troubleshoot defects on navigational and radar systems.
  • Install or remove equipment/systems as required.
  • Refurbish electronics units/assemblies.

Requirements:

  • A minimum diploma in a relevant field is required.
  • Familiarity with engineering, IT, or equivalent fields is necessary.
  • Knowledge of navigational, radar, and networking systems is essential.
  • Naval-related maintenance or training certifications are advantageous.
  • A good working knowledge of commercial and military vessel electronic systems is required.
  • Candidates must be comfortable troubleshooting network-based systems.
