We are seeking a skilled researcher to join our team in investigating how collective cell behaviors emerge and connect to biological functions.

The successful candidate will work in a dynamic laboratory environment to study the interplay between sperm and somatic cells in the male reproductive tract.

This project focuses on cellular mechano-chemical coupling in mammalian tissues, aiming to uncover the design principles of multicellular dynamical systems.

To address this challenge, we employ intravital microscopy of murine reproductive tissues, enabling direct observation of cellular and molecular activities in vivo.

Specifically, we aim to elucidate the fundamental mechanisms by which collective sperm dynamics arise and contribute to reproductive function and aging.

We combine live-cell imaging, microfluidic devices, and mathematical modeling to achieve this goal.

Requirements
  • PhD in the life sciences or related fields
  • Fundamental knowledge and skills in molecular biology, cell and tissue culture, microscopy, and mouse handling
  • Experience in omics analysis and/or bioinformatics is advantageous but not required
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as a team player

We operate on an open-lab philosophy, with extensive infrastructure supported by core facilities dedicated to technology such as state-of-the-art light microscopy, nano- and micro-fabrication, and computing.
