Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician to join our team at IDS MEDICAL SYSTEMS (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing medical equipment, ensuring that it operates safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in ongoing projects and maintenance of medical equipment
• Carry out warranty, preventive maintenance, and breakdown service jobs assigned
• Test and commission new equipment
• Perform pre-delivery checks and assembly of equipment
• Coordinate with customers for all repairs, quotations for repair, and spare parts
• Meet organizational goals to turnaround within hours on site during office hours on weekdays
• Work independently in a hospital environment and as required, perform duties after office hours
• Familiarize with relevant local regulatory standards, such as the Workplace Safety and Health Act (WSH Act), and ensure compliance
• Familiarize with relevant GDPMD/ISO procedures and operate within guidelines
• Prepare job sheets, seek customer approval/confirmation, coordinate with Sales and Operations to invoice with correct spare parts
• Ensure timely job sheet closure to speed up billing processes and reduce AR and Inventory holding
• Familiarize with all risk management processes and ensure compliance at site
• Responsible for doing it right first time and aiming for zero complaints
• Attend all training or re-training identified and contribute to continual improvement by giving constructive feedback to manufacturers
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by immediate superiors or management

Requirements

• Min. Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Biomedical Engineering
• Min. 1 year of working experience, preferably in a hospital environment or engineering consultancy firm
• Strong engineering knowledge
• Positive attitude with good communication and interpersonal skills
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Customer focus and excellent execution
• Able to travel outstation or overseas when required
• Fluent in English
• This is a 1-year contract
