Responsibilities

The Business Control & Support function is a critical component of Group Product Control, responsible for providing comprehensive business support to Treasury & Markets businesses across the region. The successful candidate will assist the team in the following areas:

  • Conducting targeted reviews of significant new transactions, evaluating rationale, pricing, market risk sensitivities, and returns on capital usage.
  • Facilitating overall financial performance review, explaining drivers, and working with functional teams to provide commentaries on Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Interest Income, Valuation, and Accounting treatment.
  • Participating in new product/business initiatives, working closely with project teams to review business cases, assess functionality, and formulate requirements.
  • Leading internal automation projects to enhance reporting efficacy for the team.
  • Delivering monthly desk summaries on Structuring Desks, covering PL drivers, balance sheet, and interest income analysis.
  • Serving as the main point of contact with Front Office and facilitating end-to-end controls for Trading activities in Singapore and overseas entities.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in Accountancy, Business, or Finance.
  • A minimum of 6-8 years' experience in Banking Finance or Product Control functions.
  • Knowledge of treasury products, derivatives, and options.
  • Experience in creative thinking, problem-solving, strategy formulation, and familiarity with data analytics and visualization tools.
  • Strong team player with a strong control awareness and inquisitive mindset.
  • Ability to relate processes with business strategies and activities of the desk.
