Senior Engineer – Civil and Structural

We are seeking a high-performing Senior Engineer – Civil and Structural to join our team in Singapore. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing structural schemes for structures and buildings, carrying out engineering analysis, and preparing submissions to authorities for approval of design.

About You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about learning and sharing knowledge, with a design and problem-solving mindset. You will be responsible for:

  • Working with the Qualified Person (QP) to develop structural schemes for structures and buildings.
  • Carrying out engineering analysis to assess the stability and load to be sustained by the structures.
  • Carrying out engineering design in accordance with Eurocodes or relevant international design codes.
  • Preparing submissions to authorities for approval of design.
  • Providing technical advice to team members/colleagues in supporting or leading roles.
  • Attending project meetings with clients, project managers, and consultants from other disciplines.
  • Attending site progress meetings and responding to technical queries.
  • Leading junior engineers in delivering design and seeking clearance for all relevant parties and authorities.
  • Conducting supervision and contract administration when required.

Pre-Requisites

  • Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience with design of multi-storey/high-rise buildings from a local engineering consulting environment.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer with PEB and/or relevant working experience.
  • Familiarity with codes of practice, relevant regulations, and working knowledge of authority submission and approval procedures.
  • Competent user of relevant engineering software.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
  • Able to interact and work with colleagues and members of other consultants at various levels.
