Job Title: Elementary English Teacher - Short-Term Contract

This is a short-term teaching position that requires an experienced educator to join our school community.

As an Elementary English teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to students of all grades, focusing on the English language, mathematics, and science subjects. You must be able to teach students who study English as a foreign language, with a focus on developing their literacy skills through reading, writing, speaking, and listening. The ideal candidate will also have experience in IPC (International Primary Curriculum) and CA class instruction.

The successful candidate will possess strong classroom management skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Additionally, they should have knowledge of basic computer skills and MS Office.

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator who can commit to a 5-day workweek from Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 4:30pm, with a total of 22 hours per week. This contract is short-term, replacing a teacher on maternity leave, and will run from September 16th to January 5th.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons to students of all grades, focusing on English language, mathematics, and science subjects
  • Develop and implement lesson materials according to the school's curriculum objectives
  • Evaluate and develop materials for use in the classroom
  • Assess students' progress and results
  • Experience working in education institutions/schools and ESL environment

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Education or equivalent qualification
  • ESL experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills and MS Office is beneficial
