The role involves providing nursing care and patient education to patients at Ambulatory Care Centres (ACC) in accordance with the departmental SOP and standards of care. This requires coordinating with other teams at ACC to ensure smooth workflow and operational efficiency.
- Practice within own level of competence to promote safety of self and patients in accordance with SNB code of practice and core competencies coded in SNB.
- Deliver quality and safe nursing care to patients.
- Perform triage and assist in emergencies.
- Assist doctors on clinical procedures and venepuncture.
- Perform treatments as prescribed by doctors.
- Perform clinical measurements including nebuliser, ECG, stress ECG (treadmill).
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation: Perform rescue ventilation with bag-valve-mask device and external cardiac massage.
- Ensure proper follow up on treatment plans.
- Provide information, updates, and education to patients and/or caregivers.
- Manage patient's medical reports and demonstrate proper use and care of equipment.
- Maintain proper documentation of day-to-day nursing records.
- Identify process gaps and provide solution when necessary.
- Provide guidance and mentoring of junior staffs when necessary.
Qualifications & Experience
A diploma in nursing recognised by Singapore Nursing Board is required, along with at least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar job position and department. A valid BCLS&AED certificate is also mandatory.
- Prior experience in dermatology settings would be an advantage.
- Able to communicate with patients from all backgrounds and possess good written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to handle multiple tasks concurrently, such as answering patients' queries, administration of procedures and manage timeline.
- Able to handle IT aspects of the job, e.g. Clinic management system.
