Clinical Support Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill this role. As a Clinical Support Specialist, you will play a critical part in providing expert support to healthcare professionals and patients.

This is an operationally critical position that directly contributes to our sales revenue and business retention in the neurosurgery and spine segments.

  • Conduct on-site education and consulting to ensure that healthcare professionals have the necessary knowledge and skills to utilize our medical products effectively.
  • Support field personnel in delivering exceptional customer service and outcomes for our customers.
  • Collaborate with sales colleagues to develop and execute strategies for selling our medical products within one or more business units.
  • Participate in conferences, forums, and meetings to enhance product awareness and promote our brand.
  • Work closely with clinical leads, management, and regional sales teams to provide case and sales support to our customers.
  • Identify and implement growth opportunities with the sales and clinical support team.
  • Serve as a technical resource to support the sales of specific medical products or solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, science, or nursing.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in the medical device field.
  • Strong biomed background and basic knowledge of intra-operative neuromonitoring (IONM).
  • BASIC understanding of human anatomy and neurophysiology.
  • The ability to work alongside anesthesiologists and surgeons in operating rooms, monitoring brain signals and testing nervous systems to reduce surgical complications.
