Science Support Assistant

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Science team as a Science Support Assistant.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing materials, apparatus and Science labs for conducting Science experiments. This includes setting up the hydroponics system, veggie towers, vermicomposting and mushroom cultivation. They will also assist teachers in science-related activities during lessons and enrichment lessons when required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare materials, apparatus and Science labs for conducting Science experiments, including setup of hydroponics system, veggie towers, vermicomposting and mushroom cultivation.
  • Assist teachers in science-related activities during lessons and enrichment lessons when required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You should have good time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Additionally, certification in basic First Aid, CPR and AED would be advantageous, as would previous experience working in a primary school laboratory.

Laboratory Assistant Job Requirements:
  • Full GCE 'N' or 'O' Level certificate or its equivalent.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Certification in basic First Aid, CPR and AED.
  • Previous experience working in a primary school laboratory (advantageous).
