Our laboratory is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist to perform various tasks, including product manufacturing and quality assurance testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical laboratory science and excellent laboratory skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform product manufacturing and interpret quality assurance testing results
- Undertake related laboratory activities to ensure smooth operation and provide quality laboratory services
- Participate in the reception of cellular products and rejection of those that are unsuitable for further processing
- Ensure all procedures are performed in accordance with laboratory protocols
- Resolve queries from customers and report procedure deviations and adverse incidents to supervisors
- Perform, record, and interpret results of internal and external quality assurance procedures
- Undertake simple preventative maintenance of laboratory instrumentation and perform troubleshooting when necessary
- Comply with laboratory inventory management procedures and notify personnel when test kits, reagents, or supplies need to be reordered
- Comply with good laboratory practice as set out by international and national regulatory agencies
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- BSc in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent
- Good laboratory skills, above average dexterity, and basic computer literacy
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, good communication and interpersonal skills, and service-oriented customer focus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
