About the Role

As an Event Sales Promoter, you will be responsible for conducting engaging live cooking demonstrations at retail locations and promotional events.

  • You will support the execution of monthly activations and pop-ups, including setup, teardown, and in-person sales.
  • Your role involves working closely with part-time promoters to deliver a seamless and positive customer experience.
  • You will prepare and submit timely post-event reports, detailing sales performance, customer feedback, objections, and inventory changes.
  • Proactively exploring and proposing new event opportunities such as roadshows, bazaars, and seasonal fairs is also a key responsibility.
  • You will handle basic administrative duties and complete post-event documentation accurately.
  • Coordinating with retail partners and key stakeholders to maximize event visibility and customer reach is crucial.
  • You will monitor sales trends and performance, sharing key insights and updates with the team.
  • Assisting with event logistics, including the transport and setup of demo tools, promotional materials, and booth fixtures, is also required.
  • Providing feedback and suggestions post-event to enhance the success of future activations is essential.
  • Participating in retail stocktakes and flagging low-stock or fast-moving SKUs for replenishment is another important task.
  • Maintaining strong product knowledge and confidently communicating key features and benefits to customers is vital.
  • Supporting the marketing team during quieter periods with recipe development and content creation for campaigns and social media is also a responsibility.
  • Taking on ad-hoc tasks as needed to support event operations and department goals is a key aspect of this role.
Key Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in retail sales, live demonstrations, or event-based selling — ideally in kitchenware, lifestyle, or home appliance sectors.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage customers confidently and effectively.
  • A motivated, responsible, and results-focused individual with a proactive approach.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, especially when handling admin, stock records, and event logistics.
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team during activations.
  • Comfortable with basic computer tasks, including email, spreadsheets, and sales reporting.
  • Proficient in spoken English; knowledge of local dialects is a plus.
  • Minimum GCE N/O Level qualification or equivalent; higher education is advantageous.
  • Flexible with work hours — must be willing to work weekends, public holidays, and longer hours during peak events.
  • Willing and able to travel islandwide to support events at different locations.
  • Physically able to assist with setup, teardown, and transport of event materials.
  • Prior experience in event planning, coordination, or roadshow activations is highly valued.
  • Basic cooking knowledge is a bonus.
