Job Opportunity: Senior Project Planner

The primary objective of the Senior Project Planner is to lead and coordinate all planning and tendering activities across multiple construction projects. This encompasses developing detailed project plans, construction schedules, and resource allocation plans in conjunction with project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Coordinate Planning Activities: Oversee and manage all planning and tendering tasks to ensure timely completion and optimal results.
  • Develop Project Plans: Create comprehensive project plans, including detailed timelines, resource allocation strategies, and budgetary forecasts.
  • Prepare Cost Estimations: Conduct thorough analyses to prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for projects.
  • Interpret Tender Documents: Analyze and interpret tender documents, project specifications, and drawings to inform planning decisions.
  • Liaise with Stakeholders: Foster strong relationships with site teams, consultants, and suppliers to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and propose mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in planning, tendering, and cost estimation.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing of works, and proficiency in planning and estimation software.
  • Certifications: Familiarity with local tender procedures and contract administration.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
