We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at KEPPEL DCS3 SERVICES PTE. LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a positive and professional working relationship with internal and external clients, responding to customer service requests in a timely manner, and resolving technical issues in a 24/7 industry.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a high level of technical expertise in electrical and mechanical systems used in a data centre environment, including feeders, transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, battery banks, ATS/STS units, PDU units, generators, and DRUPS.
- Supervise the operation, maintenance, and repair of all critical environment systems while maintaining 100% uptime to all critical power systems.
- Work with vendors and contractors to ensure their work meets client standards and develop and keep up-to-date all site electrical procedures, including EOPs, SOPs, and MOPs.
- Conduct annual reviews of system/component End-of-Life (EOL) and develop and implement training programs for technicians.
- Collaborate with the facilities team to ensure compliance with quality, health, and safety policies and procedures.
- Qualified to diploma/degree level in electrical engineering with a minimum of 3 years direct industry experience or a minimum of 5 (degree)/8 (diploma) years' experience at electrical technician level in a critical environment combined with supervisory/management experience.
- Excellent understanding and experience of electrical and mechanical systems used in a data centre environment, including feeders, transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, battery banks, ATS/STS units, PDU units, generators, and DRUPS.
- Experience of complex automatic control equipment, including relay logic, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), building management systems, and their integration with the data centre infrastructure.
- Experience of medium voltage distribution systems and associated switchgear and protection equipment.
- Experience of MV and LV switching procedures and safety protocols, preferably with a licensed electrical worker (LEW) certification.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and contractors.
- Computer literate with the ability to compile and submit monthly and annual reports, and to monitor and trend operational characteristics.
- Strong team player with excellent communication and coaching skills, with previous experience of supervising highly qualified technicians and reporting to peers and senior managers.
