Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor system performance and ensure adequate data protection measures are in place.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot network equipment, including routers, servers, switches, SANs, and Phone Systems.
  • Work closely with the IT Manager to develop policies for the use of IT resources.
  • Take proactive steps to ensure system availability and monitor the security of IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Investigate and provide technical advice on the implementation of new technologies and systems as required.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Computer Networks and Systems Administration or its equivalent.
  • Strong Microsoft Windows Server administration skills.
  • Thorough knowledge and practical experience in key networking and systems concepts (e.g. DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Group Policy).
  • Thorough knowledge and practical experience in key Microsoft applications (SQL, Exchange, IIS).
  • Solid understanding of Networking, switching, routing, wireless, and firewalling.
  • Scripting (e.g. Powershell or VBScript).
  • Basic understanding of Linux server administration.
