Job Title: Senior Unix System Administrator Position
We are seeking a skilled Unix Engineer to join our team as a key player in monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting Unix-based systems with a strong focus on Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure.
This is a challenging position that requires a high level of technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
The successful candidate will have experience working in a similar environment and be able to provide 24x7 operational support for Unix servers and Nutanix systems.
- Monitor and troubleshoot system issues
- Provide timely and effective resolutions to ensure minimal downtime
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and performance
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of IT experience, including at least 1 year in a Command Centre or similar operations role
- Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux administration
- Practical knowledge of Nutanix infrastructure on Unix/Linux platforms
- CompTIA A+ (or equivalent) certification required
- ITIL v3 Foundation certification required
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in virtualization and hyperconverged environments
- Knowledge of shell scripting for automation
- Exposure to backup, monitoring, and system recovery tools
