Restaurant Manager Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional food and beverage service. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the restaurant's operations, including staff supervision, customer service, inventory management, and financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate daily restaurant management operations, ensuring seamless execution of opening and closing procedures.
  • Maximise sales opportunities while controlling costs within budget parameters.
  • Deliver superior food and beverage service, maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.
  • Respond efficiently and accurately to customer enquiries and complaints, resolving issues promptly.
  • Oversee stock levels, liaising with suppliers and sales representatives as needed.
  • Organise and supervise shifts, ensuring smooth operation of the restaurant and managing cash drawers and petty cash.
  • Handle administration and paperwork, maintaining accurate records and reporting to management as required.
  • Making improvements to the managing and running of the business, developing strategies to enhance profitability and growth.
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety standards, meeting Singapore SFA requirements.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff, fostering a positive team culture and encouraging collaboration and innovation.
  • Make decisions that align with company objectives, seeking approval from directors when necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Licensing and certification relevant to the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to assess and improve processes, driving business growth and profitability.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in supervising staff.
  • Effective time management and organisation skills, with ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in inventory management, purchasing, and financial planning.
  • Sanitation and food quality control expertise, with knowledge of Singapore SFA regulations.
  • Customer service and relations skills, with ability to handle customer complaints effectively.
