Job Description As a Culinary Team Member, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in the preparation of meals on a daily basis. This includes verifying and preparing food according to menu specifications and daily requirements. You will also attend to any last-minute meal orders or menu changes as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify, prepare and cook food according to menu specifications and daily requirements.
- Attend to any last-minute meal orders or menu changes as needed.
- Follow and maintain food, health, and work safety standards.
- Participate in menu planning, recipe standards, and food R&D and tasting.
- Maintain kitchen equipment and perform daily general cleaning in the kitchen area in a timely and orderly manner.
- Comply with food portioning, texture, and presentation standards.
Requirements To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum GCE 'N' Level / 'O' Level / Nitec 2-3 with at least 2 years of relevant work experience. You must also possess basic Food Hygiene certification and be able to recognize basic food ingredients, utensils, cookery, and kitchen tools. Additionally, you must be comfortable handling large-scale cooking operations and production, and be able to write, speak, and read simple English. Fluency in a second language is an advantage.
