We are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our team. As a key member of the maintenance and repair crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation of heavy vehicles, including trucks, trailers, and other equipment used in marine operations.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Performing regular maintenance and inspections on heavy vehicles to ensure their performance and reliability.
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues to identify and rectify problems efficiently.
  • Repairing and replacing defective components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems to get vehicles back on the road quickly.
  • Documenting all maintenance and repair work accurately to maintain a record of activities and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Ensuring that safety regulations are adhered to at all times and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Collaborating with other technicians and team members to enhance vehicle performance and provide excellent customer service.
  • Staying up-to-date with advancements in heavy vehicle technology and repair techniques to remain proficient in the field.

The ideal candidate will possess a ITE/Diploma or Certificate in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, along with relevant experience working as a technician for heavy vehicles. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and troubleshooting techniques is essential, as is familiarity with the repair and maintenance of various heavy vehicle brands and models.

We are looking for individuals who can work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays when necessary, is also required. We welcome applications from candidates with engineering education but without prior working experience, provided they are keen on hands-on jobs.
