Cybersecurity Engineer Technology Group Associate

GIC, a leading global long-term investor, is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join its Technology Group. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in protecting the firm's information technology assets and facilitating its digitalisation journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, design, build, and implement enterprise-class cybersecurity systems to ensure the security and integrity of GIC's IT assets.
  • Identify and recommend improvement areas in existing enterprise security architecture to address evolving cybersecurity threats.
  • Align business requirements with cybersecurity and IT requirements, based on the organisation's risk appetite.
  • Develop integrated security operating models and documentations to ensure operational efficiency, scalability, and sustainability.
  • Act as a domain expert and trusted partner in CSITR, working closely with stakeholders in other groups on cybersecurity engineering related matters.
  • Manage cybersecurity projects with virtual teams and ensure successful implementation to meet organisational objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security principles.
  • Knowledge of common cybersecurity frameworks, such as NIST CSF, ISO/IEC 27001, or CIS Controls.
  • Familiarity with security technologies, including intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection and EDR solutions, email and web security, disk and file encryption tools, security information and event management (SIEM).
  • Basic understanding of vulnerability assessment and penetration testing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language, such as Python, PowerShell, or C++.
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies and professional qualification such as AWS or Azure certifications.
  • Knowledge of DevOps/DevSecOps and associated application security tools.
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, coordination, and tracking of tasks, timelines, and resources.
  • Ability to produce detailed documentation, including design diagrams and process flows.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional qualification in information security, such as CISSP / CISM / CEH, is advantageous.
