About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Economist to join our Finance and Corporate Services team. As a key member of our Research group, you will be responsible for analyzing and advising clients on macroeconomic trends and developments in Singapore and other regional economies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain econometric models for forecasting macroeconomic trends and developments.
  • Provide regular and ad hoc reports on key economic data releases and engage with internal and external clients on the economic outlook and monetary policy.
  • Contribute to the Research group's monthly and quarterly publications, as well as collaborative research projects within the team and with other units in the bank.
  • Formulate scenarios and assumptions for various bank's and regulatory stress tests, including the forecasting of parameters and macroeconomic variables.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in economics or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in an analytical role, ideally in a financial or academic institution.
  • Quantitative aptitude and logical reasoning, with experience in programming languages such as macro/VBA, Phyton, R an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with fluency in another language advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, maturity, and a team player.
