About the Role

• We are seeking a highly skilled Ceramics Studio Technician to join our dynamic team at CLAYFUL PTE. LTD.
• This is an exceptional opportunity to showcase your expertise in ceramics while working on various projects, including exhibitions and events.

Key Responsibilities

• Tutor and teach ceramics classes, designing engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse skill levels.
• Plan and execute exhibitions and events, collaborating with artists and stakeholders to bring innovative ideas to life.
• Manage kiln operations, loading and unloading, and firing ceramic pieces with precision and attention to detail.
• Design and produce high-quality ceramic products for retail purposes, adhering to industry standards and company expectations.
• Ensure the setup, maintenance, and cleanliness of equipment, instruments, and work areas, promoting a safe and efficient working environment.
• Maintain inventory levels, ordering supplies in accordance with established purchasing procedures.
• Monitor and uphold a clean and safe working environment, performing regular upkeep tasks to prevent accidents and maintain productivity.
• Perform other assigned duties as required, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to learn.

Requirements and Qualifications

• A diploma or degree in 3D art-related qualifications, particularly pottery, is essential for this role.
• Intermediate knowledge of ceramics, including throwing, trimming, and glazing techniques, is crucial for success in this position.
• The ability to create complex ceramic pieces, such as sake sets and teapots, is highly desirable.
• Teaching experience in ceramics will be viewed favorably, as it demonstrates expertise and communication skills.
• A genuine passion for the ceramics industry and a commitment to continuous learning are vital for growth within our organization.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills, combined with good communication skills and a customer-centric approach, are essential for this role.
• Able to work effectively in a team environment and willing to contribute to the success of our studio and events.
• Able to work over weekends and public holidays, as required by the business.

Compensation and Benefits

• This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of SGD $45,000 - SGD $60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
