Policy Officer Job Description

What We Do:

This is a generalist role in the Arts and Heritage Division – Arts Team, Heritage Team, or Partnerships Team.

We oversee Singapore's Arts & Heritage policies, including setting agendas for the sectors, funding national cultural institutions, and shaping strategies.

Our team supports Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth's efforts to contribute to a confident and resilient Singapore.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Policy reviews and analysis
  • Development of sectoral strategies and projects (e.g. infrastructure)
  • Corporate governance and strategic planning
  • Digitalisation and cultural philanthropy
  • Singapore's cultural diplomacy and related international collaborations
  • Management and governance of funding to statutory boards and national cultural institutions

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of working experience
  • Understanding of policy work, corporate governance, and/or the arts and heritage sector
  • Competencies: excellent written and oral communication skills, analytical skills, critical thinking, strategic thinking, ability to engage stakeholders

  • Interest in the arts and heritage sector
  • Strong team player and humility when learning and engaging stakeholders
