Senior Financial Strategist Role Summary

The role of Senior Financial Strategist is a senior leadership position responsible for driving financial planning, analysis, and strategy across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)
    • Lead the global FP&A function, providing accurate and timely financial forecasts, budgeting, and long-term planning to inform business decisions.
    • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify risks, capitalize on opportunities, and drive cost optimization strategies while supporting revenue growth initiatives.
    • Develop and implement effective financial models and scenario analyses to provide actionable insights.
  • Strategic Financial Leadership
    • Collaborate with executive leadership teams to align financial strategy with organizational goals and objectives.
    • Provide strategic guidance on M&A activities, capital allocation, and investment decisions to support business growth and expansion.
    • Develop and implement talent management strategies to foster a culture of accountability and excellence within the finance team.
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Lead and inspire high-performing finance teams, promoting collaboration and best practice sharing across regional finance teams.
    • Develop and implement training programs to ensure succession planning and capability building within the finance team.
    • Oversee the preparation of financial reports for stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Governance and Compliance
    • Ensure adherence to global financial regulations, reporting standards, and company policies to maintain transparency and governance standards.
    • Partner with internal and external auditors to maintain audit quality and compliance.
    • Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support business stability and growth.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Drive process improvements and technology adoption to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
    • Implement robust financial controls and risk management procedures to minimize financial risks.
    • Develop and implement business intelligence solutions to improve decision-making and drive business outcomes.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA/CPA preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong expertise in financial planning and analysis, with experience in a global, multi-regional organization.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop diverse finance teams across geographies.
  • Excellent understanding of financial regulations, compliance, and reporting standards.
  • Experience in industrial products or manufacturing sectors preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
