Job Description:

The Senior Technical Specialist role is a critical position within the engineering team, responsible for overseeing various administrative and technical activities.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Maintenance of plant building and drain systems, including regular inspections.
  • Management of contractors for repair and breakdown work on site utilities systems, with a focus on building repair and civil work coordination.
  • Collaboration with the Plant Maintenance Engineer to execute routine preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Development and implementation of risk assessments.
  • Ensuring compliance with plant site Permit to Work requirements and supervising works in a safe manner.
  • Rectification of plant safety issues related to facilities.
  • Supporting engineering systems and assisting in creating equipment tags and downloading equipment information.
  • Data input for equipment failure, Shutdown maintenance (SDM) inspections, and other technical data requested by engineers.
  • Maintenance and filing of engineering and SDM documents for smooth operations, easy retrieval, and audit purposes.
  • Administration of SDM activities to ensure Equipment Specialists and Original Equipment Manufacturer vendors are properly certified to work at the plant site.
  • Handling technical administrative tasks such as applying security passes and purchasing pantry items, stationery, uniforms, safety goods, office tools, etc., ensuring accurate updates in the system.
  • Monitoring pantry and stationery expenditures to ensure utilization is within limits.
  • Acting as Administrator for the system to handle purchase requisitions, update spare part inventory, reconcile inventory, and prepare reports.
