Job Title: Senior Powerplant Technical Leader

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing powerplant activity, ensuring seamless engine management, and delivering innovative solutions to support Avolon's business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake powerplant activities related to lease agreements
  • Engine shop visit oversight and management
  • Maintenance reserve claim oversight and management of service providers
  • Support powerplant activity for fleet transitioning between lessees
  • Provide powerplant expertise to the wider Avolon business and departments
  • Negotiate contracts and GTA's within the MRO network
  • Support day-to-day transactional matters with OEMs relevant to engine-specific responsibilities
Requirements:Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Engineering Honours Degree or EASA Part 66 licensed engineer or equivalent apprenticeship
  • A minimum of five years' experience in a technical function, preferably in airlines, OEMs, or leasing
  • Extensive knowledge of at least two engine types (CFM/GE/IAE/PW/RR) and applicable work scope planning guides
  • Proven track record in engine MRO GTA tendering, negotiation, and administration
  • Comprehensive engineering background with an understanding of airworthiness regulations and requirements
Personal Qualities:
  • Highly motivated self-starter with original thought, challenge, and innovation to solve problems
  • Direct, effective, and engaging communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong and independent-minded with the ability to express views with conviction and show bravery in confronting established thought
