Our organization is dedicated to driving long-term sustainable returns through a data-driven approach. We are seeking an Investment Researcher to join our team and contribute to the development of investment strategies across various asset classes.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research on key sectoral developments, assessing opportunities for potential investments.
  • Analyze commodity markets, modeling data and producing ad hoc analysis based on short-term market trends.
  • Build fundamental commodity supply and demand models, staying up-to-date with market research and insights.
  • Conduct financial analysis on assigned sub-sectors and relevant companies, identifying areas for potential growth.
  • Develop financial models and presentations for internal evaluation and investment committees.
  • Assist in structuring and consummating new direct investments, as well as pursuing divestments where appropriate.
  • Monitor existing portfolio companies and new direct investments against investment thesis.
  • Establish and cultivate relationships with companies, research analysts, and other relevant institutions.
Requirements
  • Excellent academic qualifications and passion for investing.
  • Minimum 2 years of progressive working experience in financial markets, with a focus on commodity/equity markets.
  • Commodity investing, macro hedge fund, equity investing or research experience would be favourably looked at.
  • Familiarity with one of the following sectors: metal & mining, materials & resources, commodities would be preferred but not essential.
  • Good understanding of financial markets and their short, medium, and long-term drivers.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with strong financial modeling skill and ability to perform fundamental research on the commodity space.
  • High level of interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well within diverse teams and collaborate across multiple stakeholders.
