We are on the lookout for a highly proficient and driven Mechanical Design Engineer to become a vital part of our dynamic team, dedicated to the design and optimization of mechanical systems for data center facilities. As an essential member of our engineering team, you will significantly contribute to the reliability, efficiency, and sustainability of our data center infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in mechanical design, HVAC systems, and a comprehensive understanding of data center requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical systems for data center facilities, ensuring compliance with performance, reliability, and efficiency standards, as well as relevant building codes and environmental regulations.
  • Specify and select mechanical equipment, including chillers, air handlers, and other HVAC components, ensuring alignment with data center specifications and standards.
  • Conduct technical evaluations of design submissions from various vendors and consultants.
  • Collaborate closely with the design team to optimize data hall standards.
  • Design and enhance HVAC systems to maintain optimal cooling and climate control within the data center environment, incorporating thermal analysis and simulation techniques.
  • Lead and manage project teams, consultants, and vendors, ensuring technical accuracy and successful outcomes.
  • Supervise a team of mechanical and electrical engineers responsible for the design, installation, testing, and maintenance of mechanical systems.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, project managers, and regulatory affairs personnel, to develop and implement mechanical engineering solutions that align with project objectives and industry standards.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in HVAC design and mission-critical infrastructure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and consultants at various levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in mechanical design, particularly within data center facilities.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and thermal analysis tools, such as CFD simulation.
  • In-depth understanding of HVAC systems and their applications in data center environments.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and codes relevant to data center design.
