We are currently looking for a Sports Facility Operations Specialist to join our Physical Education & Sports Science Department (PESS) on a contractual basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the maintenance contracts for sports facilities and the procurement of necessary equipment.
  • Supervise on-site maintenance activities to ensure optimal facility conditions.
  • Assist with the internal and external scheduling of sports facilities and manage billing processes for external users.
  • Support faculty in the preparation and setup of sports equipment for educational sessions.
  • Provide logistical support for various sports-related events and activities.
  • Facilitate the setup of equipment required for physical proficiency assessments.
  • Conduct regular inspections of sports facilities to ensure adherence to established regulations and standards.
  • Organize briefings for visitors and users regarding the use of PESS sports facilities.
  • Manage the issuance of equipment and the booking of facilities.
  • Perform inspections of fitness rooms, particularly during peak usage times.
  • Administer first aid in the event of injuries occurring on-site.
  • Execute additional responsibilities as directed by PESS management.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a Polytechnic Diploma in Sport Management, Exercise Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in procurement processes.
  • Proven track record in managing sports equipment and facilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Preferably, a valid Bronze Medallion Certificate for life-saving is desirable.
  • Training in First Aid and AED is advantageous.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work in shifts, including morning and afternoon schedules.
