The Senior Operations Manager - Planning for Asia will serve as a key collaborator to the Asia Planning Vice President and Cluster Buying Leaders, facilitating and advancing the Planning strategy and vision across various clusters. This position merges Operational Management, Data Analysis, and Project Coordination for MPIM teams. It necessitates robust analytical capabilities, financial insight, exceptional organizational skills, and a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end planning to propel strategic initiatives and deliver analytical support. The Senior Operations Manager - Planning for Asia will pinpoint essential planning opportunities and risks, mobilizing key business partners or resources to provide sound recommendations and address or mitigate these challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

S&OP Process:

Lead and facilitate Open to Buy (OTB) and Monthly Operating Plan (MOP) Review meetings, offering monthly guidelines for forecast transmission. Develop, facilitate, and support the monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process and meetings across the Asia Clusters. Assist the Head of Omni-channel Inventory Management and teams in generating monthly S&OP content and risk scenario planning for the cluster and affiliates. Review and support Excess & Obsolete (E&O) reporting and processes across Asia clusters. Act as a central S&OP consolidation point from affiliate to global level Open to Buy. Collaborate closely with the Global S&OP team to provide Executive Leadership Team (ELT) level cluster highlights and inventory action items.

Go-To-Market (GTM) & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Create and manage the Planning milestone calendar across the planning organization (GTM). Work in partnership with Cluster Merchandising and Sales Operations at key touchpoints throughout the GTM process, starting from Brief, GLL, Cluster Assortment Review, IR, and Hind-sighting. Support and facilitate the development and sharing of Option Counts by MP teams to Merchandising partners. Collaborate with finance to establish the Volume Alignment process that emphasizes Revenue, Units, and margin targets for MFP. Drive and support key GTM check-point meetings, such as Investment Review by Cluster and Consolidation of Data run through the global monetization cube. Participate in the Global IR team. Coordinate and facilitate Go-To-Market (GTM) milestones with Global Planning, including Merchandise Financial Plan (MFP)/ Volume Alignment and Investment Review (IR). Partner with Finance to develop MFP 1.0 / 2.0 (VA) gathering exercise to enable and inform internal MP&IM stakeholders for pre-season planning and Open to Buy signoffs.

Project Management:

Facilitate and drive innovative working methods and process enhancement with clear RACI's within MP&IM and cross-functional partners to promote simplification. Engage in key regional/global projects to capture cluster requirements and drive the implementation of new tools, systems, and working methods.

Data Analysis and Strategy:

Lead MPIM reporting and analytics requirements through cross-functional projects. Oversee all MP&IM analytics initiatives and requirements with the technology team, including supporting and facilitating projects on behalf of the MPIM teams.

Requirements:

Master’s degree preferred, or a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Communications, or relevant work experience of at least 8-10 years in apparel/retail or equivalent experience. Experience in Sales and Operations, Planning organizations, and/or retail/wholesale environments preferred. Ability to cultivate constructive and effective relationships with a diverse group of business partners, primarily the cross-functional team. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to interpret significant themes from quantitative and qualitative data. Capability to assess business strategies and create aligned learning and development solutions to achieve desired business outcomes. Ability to translate process and technical solutions to various audience levels, addressing multiple roles and responsibilities. Proven track record of driving the implementation of new processes and products in complex environments with multiple stakeholders. Ability to set objectives and effectively manage projects. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Excellent organizational skills and time management capabilities. Leadership skills in a complex matrix organization with the ability to influence cross-functionally. Proficient in effective communication, both written and oral, with all levels of employees throughout the organization.
