We are a growing engineering consulting company based in Singapore, seeking a high-performing professional to join us as a Senior Engineer – Civil & Structural.

Civil & Structural Senior Engineer

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a passion for design and problem-solving, matched with a desire to work on meaningful and significant projects with the team.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Working with the Qualified Person (QP) to develop structural schemes for structures and buildings.
  • Carrying out engineering analysis to assess the stability and loads to be sustained by the structures.
  • Carrying out engineering design in accordance with Eurocodes or relevant international design codes.
  • Preparing submissions to authorities for approval of design.
  • Providing technical advice to team members/colleagues in a supporting or leading role, embracing a culture that values teamwork.
  • Attending project meetings with clients, project managers and consultants from other disciplines.
  • Attending site progress meetings and responding to technical queries.
  • Leading junior engineers in delivering design and seeking clearance from relevant parties and authorities.
  • Conducting supervision and contract administration when required.

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience with design of multi-storey/high-rise buildings from a local engineering consulting environment.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer with PEB and/or relevant working experience will be considered for senior roles.
  • Familiarity with codes of practice, relevant regulations and working knowledge of authority submission and approval procedures.
  • Competent user of relevant engineering software.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
  • Able to interact and work with colleagues and members of other consultants at various levels.
  • A team, client and delivery-focused working style.
