We are seeking a skilled professional to lead our cloud engineering initiatives. As an AWS Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure.
Job Responsibilities- Design and deploy cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS best practices.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Manage and optimize AWS resources (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, VPC, IAM, etc.).
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting using CloudWatch or third-party tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, ELK).
- Ensure security best practices are followed (IAM roles, security groups, KMS, patch management).
- Perform regular backups, disaster recovery, and failover strategies.
- Troubleshoot cloud-related issues and provide first-line support for cloud services.
- Collaborate with DevOps/Development teams on CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Monitor cloud usage and implement cost-optimization strategies.
- Maintain documentation of cloud architecture, procedures, and runbooks.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Min 3 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering with strong AWS expertise.
- Prior experience working in government/public sector required.
- Familiarity with core AWS services: EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, RDS, Lambda, Route 53, etc.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (DNS, VPN, firewalls, load balancers).
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with Linux system administration and/or Windows servers.
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes/EKS).
- Preferred Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional, any relevant certifications in DevOps, Security, or Kubernetes.
