Job Summary

The Design Engineer position is responsible for designing, reviewing and optimizing piping layouts and detailed designs to meet engineering and functionality requirements.

  • Develop and verify piping material specifications in compliance with ASME and other relevant code standards
  • Coordinate/validate pipe stress analysis (static and dynamic analysis)
  • Provide recommendations for modification or validation of piping layouts
  • Review/generate piping, support and isometrics drawings
  • Review/generate steel structure drawings
  • Generate piping/structural material take-off list
  • Review/generate and optimize facility layout and structural design
  • Coordinate/validate design calculations according to project requirements
  • Liaise with project managers and clients on design works
  • Offer value engineering proposals during tender and ongoing projects
  • Coordinate and assist the project team regarding on-site works

This role requires a degree in Engineering in a relevant MEP discipline, several years of job experience in design & engineering of process plants, good sketching skills, ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas concisely, and proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and other related software.
