The role of an Internal Audit Director is crucial in ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of an organization's internal controls, governance, and risk processes.

As a seasoned professional, you will be responsible for leading a team of auditors to conduct comprehensive risk-based audits across various functions, including underwriting, claims, finance, operations, compliance, IT, and reinsurance.

Your objective assurance and strategic insights will provide valuable input to the Audit Committee and Executive Management, enabling them to make informed decisions about the organization's overall direction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a robust audit plan that aligns with the organization's strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to the lead team of internal auditors, promoting continuous professional growth and high performance.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies as needed to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Monitor and report on the implementation of audit recommendations, tracking management's corrective actions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CIA, CA, CPA, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in internal audit, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within insurance or financial services.
