Technical Leadership Role

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Engineering Manager to lead our software engineering team. This role will oversee the planning, design, implementation, and deployment of software projects using agile methodologies.

The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in full-stack software development and familiarity with modern development frameworks. They will be responsible for leading engineering teams in agile environments and driving continuous improvement in engineering practices.

In this role, you will work closely with product managers, designers, quality assurance, and commercial teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. You will also collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, commercial, and customer success teams to align engineering efforts with business objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM discipline, and 5-10 years of experience in software engineering with at least 2-3 years in a team leadership or management role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of software engineers to design, develop, and deliver high-quality, scalable healthtech solutions.
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, quality assurance, and commercial teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, commercial, and customer success teams to align engineering efforts with business objectives.
  • Promote best practices in software development, including code quality, testing, documentation, CI/CD, and version control.
  • Identify and resolve technical risks or challenges that could impact delivery timelines or product performance.
  • Facilitate technical discussions, architectural planning, and decisions to support scalable and secure product development.
  • Support ongoing performance reviews, skills development, and career progression of the engineering team.
  • Ensure the implementation of data privacy, security standards (e.g., ISO27001, HIPAA), and compliance requirements.
  • Stay up to date with new technologies and drive continuous improvement in engineering practices.
Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM discipline.

5-10 years of experience in software engineering with at least 2-3 years in a team leadership or management role.

Strong technical background in full-stack software development and familiarity with modern development frameworks.

Proven experience leading engineering teams in agile environments.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
