The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Marketing Assistant to join our team in Singapore. As a Marketing Assistant, you will play a key role in strengthening our marketing team and building the market in Southeast Asia.

The Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping abreast of industry trends, sourcing and evaluating conferences across all academic fields, and conducting research on industry trends and competitor activities for improved marketing strategies and decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote academic publishing services in the academic field.
  • Manage MDPI Singapore's social media channels, including content writing, community engagement, and tracking of metrics.
  • Conceptualize and manage online and offline workshops, webinars, and conferences.
  • Support corporate events, such as author training in leading universities and institutions in Southeast Asia.
  • Represent the company at academic conferences held in Southeast Asia and take responsibility for setting up booths on site.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key and relevant scholars and academic media in Southeast Asia.
  • Handle incoming inquiries for information about all services of MDPI.
  • Provide administrative support in handling databases and logistics involved in clients outreach and promotional activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree majoring in marketing and business-related fields.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Team player with the capability to work in a dynamic, international environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Very good communication and coordination skills.
  • Professional experience with academic publishing, exhibition, or strategy planning is an advantage.
  • Digital marketing skills are an asset.
