This key role involves overseeing the daily operations of production stores to ensure that production and installation teams have the necessary tools and materials.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage store operations: receive, label, store, and issue building materials, tools, and consumables.
  • Maintain orderliness and safety standards: organize shelves, label correctly, and enforce safety protocols.
  • Track usage and movement: monitor fast-moving items, log issuance/returns, and oversee tool tracking.
  • Ensure stock accuracy: conduct counts, flag low stock, and request purchases in advance.
  • Improve systems: assist in designing efficient inventory tracking systems (Excel/manual/software).
  • Care for tools: check for damage, ensure proper handling, and track high-value tools.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years' experience in a store/stockroom role (construction, fabrication, or manufacturing preferred).
  • Strong Excel skills; confident with basic inventory logs.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and trustworthy individual.
  • Comfortable with safe manual handling.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with adhesives, abrasives, blades, or materials used in fabrication.
  • Prior involvement in setting up or improving stock control systems.
  • Forklift license or experience with store equipment.
