We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Specialist to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality patient care to individuals undergoing dialysis treatments.


Job Description:

Renal Nurse

As a Renal Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering individualized nursing care to patients with renal disease, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible outcomes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing direct nursing care to patients undergoing haemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis in accordance with established clinical protocols.
  • Preparing and operating dialysis machines and related equipment.
  • Assessing patients' conditions before, during, and after dialysis treatments.
  • Monitoring vital signs and promptly reporting any abnormal findings or complications.
  • Administering medications and managing vascular access sites (e.g., AV fistula, catheter care).
  • Educating patients and caregivers on renal disease, dialysis treatment, dietary restrictions, and medication adherence.
  • Collaborating with nephrologists and the multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation of patient care and treatment progress.
  • Complying with infection control and patient safety standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A registered nurse qualification.
  • Diploma or degree in nursing from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in a renal/dialysis setting.
  • Prior experience in haemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis is strongly preferred.
  • Skilled in managing dialysis equipment and vascular access sites.
  • Strong communication, patient education, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • A team player with a compassionate and patient-focused approach.
