Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our Trade Finance Operations team.

  • Analyzing user correction logs by extracting and consolidating data from ClearTrade and vendor systems is crucial in identifying operational issues and optimizing business processes.
  • Preprocessing raw data by document type and field supports validation and deeper analysis, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Closely working with operations teams helps understand the root causes of corrections, ensuring effective problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Classifying corrections into categories such as necessary for machine learning training or unnecessary potential rule improvements enhances the efficiency of business operations.
  • Summarizing findings in clear actionable formats for both vendor and user feedback facilitates effective communication and collaboration.
  • Collaborating with business users to understand operational logic and intent behind correction patterns ensures that analysis results are relevant and actionable.
  • Coordinating with vendors to share insights and recommend improvements to machine learning or rule-based systems drives business value and innovation.
  • Maintaining comprehensive documentation of analysis progress and decision rationales provides transparency and accountability.
  • Providing regular updates issue logs and recommended action plans to senior stakeholders ensures timely and informed decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any field.
  • Familiarity with Trade Finance processes and documents.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in data analysis preferably in banking financial services.
  • Ability to handle and interpret large data sets especially operational or system log data.
  • Proficient in English written with excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • Experience working with AIOCR systems or trade finance automation tools is a plus.
