About the Resource and Carbon Division
The Resource and Carbon Division (RCD) collaborates with internal teams and external partners, including private enterprises and governmental bodies, to formulate policies and initiatives that advocate for the competitive and sustainable utilization of essential resources in Singapore. This encompasses critical areas such as land, electricity, water, environmental management, and greenhouse gas emissions.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be tasked with:

  • Conducting both quantitative and qualitative research, analyzing data, and providing strategic recommendations to inform planning and policy decisions regarding Singapore's resources.
  • Preparing clear and concise policy documents and presentations for management and governmental stakeholders.
  • Developing, managing, and reviewing resource efficiency incentives that align with business requirements and Singapore's resource policies.
  • Establishing communication channels with businesses regarding Singapore's resource policies.
  • Engaging with companies to facilitate the implementation of resource efficiency and emissions reduction initiatives.
  • Collaborating with industrial real estate developers and energy service providers to identify optimal solutions for businesses.

Candidate Profile
To excel in this position, you should possess:

  • A strong interest in policy formulation, coupled with a proactive approach to implementing policy changes and projects.
  • The ability to engage effectively with companies in the manufacturing and export sectors, as well as with industrial real estate developers and energy service providers in various settings.
  • The capability to comprehend and evaluate Singapore's resource needs and devise appropriate solutions.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Economics, Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar or relevant position.
  • A keen interest in policy development, with a hands-on approach to implementing changes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information effectively to a non-technical audience.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize information and provide insightful recommendations through creative and logical thinking.
  • Proficient stakeholder management and client engagement skills to work effectively with various internal and external parties.
  • A collaborative mindset, being well-organized, patient, and open to new ideas.
  • A self-motivated attitude and a strong work ethic.
  • Eligibility to work in Singapore.
