Capital Equipment Specialist

Scope of work:
- To execute mechanical and electrical assembly, laser optics alignment, calibration, and final testing on capital equipment in accordance with technical instructions.
- To collaborate with vendors to prepare capital equipment for shipment.
- To complete capital equipment builds within the specified takt time.
- To monitor and expedite material delivery to ensure production schedules are met.
- To own and be accountable for the entire process of capital equipment build, adhering to quality and safety requirements.
- To conduct preventive maintenance on equipment promptly.
- To oversee calibration schedules for tools and ensure timely calibration according to schedule.
- Expected to be trained and work on two or more capital equipment models.
Requirements
- Higher NITEC/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering
- Technical competence and hands-on skills
- Takes pride in building and outputting high-quality capital equipment.
- Able to work independently after qualification.
- Able to communicate and work comfortably with all levels and raise work issues to production management.
- Willingness to take on additional tasks and a hunger for new knowledge.
- Quality and safety mindset and meticulous work approach.
- Able to use or operate basic testing/troubleshooting tools i.e. digital multimeter, oscilloscope etc.
- Ability to work overtime on weekdays and weekends.
- Ability to work night/rotating shifts if required.
- Prior experience in similar fields will be an added advantage.
